This position will report to the Sr. Mgr Capital Management and will work closely with the Sr. Mgr Capital Management supporting delivery Directors and VPs.The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and assisting in the developing and managing Capital programs delivered by the IT & Digital function for the whole of the Rogers business. The role includes but is not limited to planning, scope, communication and spend management. The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial management/business management, is a solid communicator, has high attention to detail, strong work ethic, and is a self-starter ready to take the initiative. Capital budget management experience is an assetRole Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and managing financial reporting including inception of budget, forecasting, budget adjustment and validation
  • Providing and performing analysis on large financial data
  • Assist to interpret business requirements for timely and appropriate project program delivery
  • Coordinate, plan and monitor programs from concept to closing using appropriately scaled methodology
  • Coordinate & preparation of communications, progress reporting and meeting agendas and minutes
  • Project and program closures & hurdles investigation and financial updates and tracking; Document management
  • Working with complex data in excel tables; including action item tracking
  • Preparing PowerPoint presentation
  • Coordinate & assist to prepare management presentations and host stakeholders meetings with large audiences
  • Coordinate & assist to Build/identify requirements, consensus, negotiate and lead cross-functional resources across functional organizational lines
  • Manage initiatives at a high-level as well as having strong attention to details while meeting tight deadlines
  • Work closely with and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and sponsors from all functional areas of business
  • Coordinate changing priorities to complete project delivery within defined constraints.
  • Coordinate & Contribute to the ongoing development of Capital Planning Program methodology, process and documentation
  • Assist OTL Planning and Controls
  • Identify, handle and resolve conflict effectively
  • Demonstrate interest in and accountability for personal and professional development
  • Must be able to prepare/create spontaneous analysis with large data
  • Must be a self starter
Job Qualifications:
  • A university degree in Business Administration or financial Management equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in financial management/project management.
  • Progressive experience managing infrastructure projects financials such as network and telecom infrastructure deployments within a professional services organization.
  • Exposure to executing programs across a physically distributed environment along with strong communication and presentation experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication
  • High proficiency with Excel pivots tables, Finance Oracle system and PowerPoint
  • Strong negotiation skills to negotiate changes, issues, budgets and timelines
  • Management of large data and consolidation or migration of project exposure
  • Familiar with Infrastructure Technologies, dealing with multiple stakeholders at any given time
  • Proactive approach to working on skeleton plan for upcoming projects
  • Ability to optimize available resources to deliver business objectives and maximize business efficiency
  • Ability to adapt to the requirements of the assignment and make appropriate changes in style as needed
  • Demonstrated ability to match content, style and language to suit the audience and context, maximizing understanding
  • Ability to direct, influence and inspire others to optimize performance and achieve goals
  • Ability to influence team members without direct authority
  • Exposure to working within legal & financial services an asset
  • Strong skills on general telecom and financial awareness
  • Work on their own/take initiate
  • Detail-oriented, with an emphasis on quality of work
  • Proven exceptional work-ethic, self-motivated, and highly driven
  • Excellent organizational skills
