  • Support the Senior Category Manager to execute Accessories Merchandising strategy across all channels
  • Actively assist in searching for new brands and products, identifying opportunities and trends for category expansion (assortment selection, flow, life cycle, distribution across multiple channels)
  • Assist in the execution of new Vendor and Brand Introductions, onboarding, vendor documents, new product forms, and project updates which include stores, eComm & marketplace
  • Responsible for product costings and negotiations, managing cost sheets and master files, communicating with cross-functional departments
  • Use financial analysis to recommend actions to maximize sales and profit
  • Support Product Specialist with product branding & packaging
  • Communicate new product rollouts to cross functional teams, manage all templates, translations, and gather info in a timely manner
  • Support in-store visual merchandising standards – liaising with Visual Merchandising/Store Design to support the overall vision and execution
  • Collaborate and provide communication and product knowledge to various internal stakeholders such as Marketing (event analysis, promos, infomercials, flyers, influencer campaigns as required), eComm (new vendor and product launch information, documents & contacts, and Sales (new fixtures or store product launches), Operations (compliancy and sign off on new lifestyle bases & headboards)
  • Create processes and tools that enable the process to run efficiently and effectively
Qualifications
  • University or College Degree/Diploma in Merchandising, Business or related discipline an asset
  • At least 2-4 years’ experience in an retail office merchandising environment with focus on fashion/apparel or accessories business; eCommerce also an asset.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing, presentation, project management, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Work collaboratively and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment where there are tight deadlines and competing priorities
  • Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, ERP and Reporting Systems
  • Bilingual English and French is an asset
