Our patient-centric focus is demonstrated across our locations, all uniquely designed to support both the practical aspects of access to compassionate, cutting-edge health care, as well as the way patients and visitors feel.DURATION: Approximately 6 monthsHOURS: Currently Days/Evenings 8 hours, including weekends and statutory holidays(Subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager, you will work closely with the Resource Nurse, staff and Physicians to provide clerical support as required. Duties will include order transcription, receptionist duties, maintaining patient records, scheduling, order entry and other clerical duties as required. As a staff member of this unit you will be responsible in implementing change management strategies and plans according to the unit and organizational needs. You will be agile, adaptable and continuously evolving with new improvements to methods, process, practices and technology using evidence based best practices.UNIT QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Grade 12 Business & Commerce
  • 45 w.p.m. typing skills
  • Medical Terminology and/ or Medical Office Assistant certificate/ Diploma required
  • Transcription skills required
  • Word processing/computer experience
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Must have a minimum of one (1) year recent related office experience
  • MSM booking an asset
  • Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
  • May be required to travel between and work at both sites in all units
