Job Description

Toronto Kayaks is Canadas first transparent, LED and Bluetooth equipped hybrid kayak-canoe rental company! As we enter our second season, we are exited to expand to Brampton and offer guests unique, memorable experiences!We are looking to hire a Crew Member!Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests, check-in and validate guests based on online bookings
  • Process payments via POS devices
  • Explain proper use of equipment as well as water safety
  • Prepare and receive returned rental equipment, this may include cleaning, preparing and setting up kayak equipment)
  • Provide great customer service, answer customers inquires/concerns, or direct customers to the manager.
Qualifications / Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Experience working on teams, with heavy reliance on team to accomplish goals.
  • Some Heavy lifting required; must be able to lift up to 40 pounds (19 kilos), bending, kneeling, standing for extended periods of time
  • Can swim / comfortable in water - employees may have to enter water up to their knees.
  • While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to weather conditions (sun, heat, rain, humidity). Please note, work availability is weather permitting as we do not operate in heavy rain and/or windy conditions).
Preferred (but not required):
  • Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C Certification, which must be dated no more than 2 years from the certification date.
