Contract lengths for 2022 are 8 weeks, working 35 hours per week in a hybrid working model. Anticipated contract dates will fall between June 6, 2022, and September 2, 2022. Participants of Canada Summer Job roles must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
  • Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
  • Must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
  • Must be able to work all 8 weeks consecutively
Hourly Rate: $16.00We are currently seeking one full-time contract IT Assistant (Cloud Administrator). As an IT Assistant, you will work on projects that contribute to improved client services, client experience, or operational efficiencies. The aim of the position is to support the incumbent’s development of teamwork, communication, project management, and digital technology skills in a healthcare setting. You’ll perform a variety of important tasks that make each day new and exciting, and you’ll belong to a team that supports and respects each other as we work together to make a difference within our organization.What you will do
  • Work to support the IT and Innovation department
  • Improve quality of existing services to our community
  • Help to launch new services, or existing services through new means (i.e. virtual services)
  • Create efficiencies for clinical staff to gain more time to support clients
  • Engage with clients/community for ideas of areas to improve services
  • Complete an agency wide inventory of assets such as computers, cell phones, etc.
  • Research, develop, and implement measures for asset security
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned
What you need to join our team
  • Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a post-secondary program in Business Administration, Information Technology, Information Systems, Project Management, or equivalent Degree or Diploma Program
  • Experience with any of the following Core Azure Infrastructure technologies:
    • Azure Virtual Machines and Scale Set knowledge
    • Azure Virtual Network, VPN, Load Balancer (L4/L7), Traffic Manager, CDN, Azure DNS, routing & routing protocols like BGP, firewall concepts
    • Azure Storage Account, Disk, Snapshot, Backup, Site Recovery, file sync
    • Knowledge on ARM Templates, PowerShell and CLI management, Azure Automations
    • Subscription and Governance Management (Policy, Management Groups, Cost, Blueprint), RBAC
    • Azure Monitoring
    • Azure Identity
  • Experience with Power platform is an asset
  • Prior experience working with IT teams and project management would be an asset
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment and to prioritize tasks in a manner that meets staff needs and program objectives
  • Proof of administered full-series Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccination prior to start date. If unable to be vaccinated for reasons relating to protected grounds under the Code, completed medical or religious exemption must be provided.
  • A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check) report
  • Comfortable lifting and carrying objects up to 10lbs and sitting for long periods
