Job Description

About Us:Position Summary:This position is responsible for coordinating the logistics and tracking of all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring that proper and accurate documents have been prepared and that delivery schedules have been met. The successful applicant should be energetic and a great communicator; someone who has the ability to multitask and take on various roles. Reporting to the Director of Operations, duties may include, but are not limited to:Responsibilities & Qualifications:Roles and responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and monitoring supply chain operations
  • Ensuring the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments
  • Arranging outbound deliveries with carriers and couriers
  • Tracking & tracing/monitoring shipment status and relaying status to customer(s)
  • Invoice preparation of completed customer orders
  • Monitoring shipment, costs, timelines, and productivity.
  • Preparing shipping document for carriers, couriers and import/export
  • Ensuring all inbound/outbound shipments are accurately logged and paperwork is completed and submitted as required
  • Resolving any issue(s) that may arise during the shipping or receiving process
  • Soliciting freight quotes and booking transportation as required
  • Coordinating with Carriers for returns.
  • Organizing truck deliveries and routing on a weekly basis
  • Ensuring all shipment data is entered and recorded accurately and in a timely manner
  • Working in conjunction with Warehouse Supervisors on recording and managing any backorders or deficiencies (both inbound and outbound)
  • Working closely with the Purchasing Department, Warehouse Supervisors and Sales Team on all inbound P.O. discrepancies
  • Other duties as assigned
Required skills and qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education preferred
  • 1-3 years of warehouse experience, preferable in a Logistics/Supply Chain role
  • Must have excellent written, verbal, organizational and communication skills
  • Must have exceptional problem-solving capabilities
  • Previous experience with Logistics or WMS Systems is an asset
  • Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize and be able to work independently and within a team environment
  • Willingness to work additional time where necessary to ensure that tasks are completed on time
  • Proficiency in Google applications (Docs, Sheets etc.) is an asset
  • Ability to execute tasks in all warehouse environments
  • Must exhibit a professional communication mentality with a focus on developing strong relationships with both internal and external customers
