We promote leaders at every level and support our people to follow their passion.Manager, Merchandising AnalyticsThe Manager, Merchandising Analytics will support the Market Divisional Merchandising team in achieving overall corporate budgets by optimizing planning efficiencies to aid in driving profitable sales and market share increases. This individual will be responsible for leading an automated promotional planning algorithm, ensuring timelines are met, and building positive relationships with the category teams. The individual will drive process improvement of current processes as well as helping lead the development of automation or optimization projects.Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads communication to category, regional and operational teams where required
  • Works with teams to ensure planning timelines are adhered to and promotional completion target dates are met
  • Handle periodic & quarterly financial roll-ups
  • Ad hoc analytics required to support the progression of immediate and long term strategic plans to improve overall market share, sales and profit
  • Work with Category teams to solve a variety of problems, related to areas such as pricing, demand planning, assortment, costing, forecasting, loyalty, and customer buying behavior
  • Leads ongoing development of reporting and analytical processes
  • Drive continuous improvement of existing codes and processes of the team
  • Lead development of optimization and automation projects
Role Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years retail merchandising & promotional experience
  • Very strong communication skills (both written & verbal)
  • Demonstrated skills in relationship building and influencing to achieve results
  • Ability to multi-task & prioritize work
  • People oriented
  • Detailed oriented and well organized
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Experience with Query Tools (Teradata, SAS, MicroStrategy, SAP)
  • Programming and/or Data Processing skills an asset (Python, R, VBA, SQL)
