To ensure the health and safety of our team members, including those in the recruitment process, our team members are temporarily working from home.The Manager of Access Inventory & Spares will lead a team of professionals that provide value-add analytical inventory reporting, forecasting and sparing management.As the Access Inventory & Spares Manager, you will report to the Director, Access Networks PMO. Our Access Networks PMO supports the expansion and maintenance of our wireless and wireline networks, including 5G. With Rogers investments in 5G infrastructure, partnerships and innovations, our 5G network will deliver our customers a mobile experience like no other. It will create jobs, shape industries and provide world-class connectivity to Canadians. To enable that vision we are also investing in deployments and forecasting capabilities within our Access Networks PMO and we need individuals with a passion for collaboration and innovation. This role requires extensive collaboration across a matrixed organization, and includes interfacing with Supply Chain, Procurement and Regional Implementation teams and be able to influence decisions at multiple levels that will impact the Access Networks and Operations CAPEX.We’re looking for a self-starting innovative leader who isn’t afraid to challenge Business as Usual thinking, loves developing and motivating highly engaged teams to drive results. Able to think out of the box and implement new process and efficiencies.What you’ll be doing:Collaborate with Access Delivery Managers and regional teams to develop program/project plans with equipment requirements and delivery timelines. Develop and implement strategies to reduce equipment delivery risks.Develop and Implement a material forecasting process for all Network Access programs.Partner with Network Supply Chain on the supply, inventory and operations process for all network materials.Partner with Network Supply Chain to ensure the timely visibility and control of the Network inventory as part of our national buildout.Develop a robust Materials Obsolescence Program, in conjunction with Network Supply Chain.Optimize the material request, transfer processes using Kaizen techniques.Ensure all inventory KPIs, such as turns, are met/exceeded.Support of our Network Inventory Management system use with internal stakeholders and supporting contractorsCollaborate with our Operational teams to meet Mean time to Repair (MTTR) targets by implementing adequate sparing levels, strategic deployment of spares, analysis of failure rates and delivery efficiencies.Support the transformation to a design and build deployment model.What you have:Exposure to current industry inventory management techniques and operationsBachelor’s Degree business, economics, engineering or equivalent, telecom experience is considered an asset.5+ years progressive leadership experience in materials management.Understanding of spares planning, dimensioning and operationsAdvanced problem solving and root cause analysis combined with proven ability to communicate those analysisHighly analytical, detail oriented and strong business sense; proven ability to manage new ideas and creative solutions; achieving effective results in a fast-paced, growing and ambiguous environmentExcellent presentation & communications skills, with experience presenting at the senior executive level, to customers, and to government agenciesLeadership AttributesConsistently motivating a team to meet deadlines with accurate and detailed resultsGreat influencer and strategic advisorExcellent judgment in handling emergency escalated issuesStrong leader who knows how to build/get the most out of their team and inspire/encourage others to reach goals through innovation quality and excellenceConfident in engaging others and challenging and defending a positionStrong history of collaborationSchedule: Full timeShift: DayLength of Contract: Not Applicable (Regular Position)Work Location: 8200 Dixie Road (101), Brampton, ONTravel Requirements: Up to 10%Posting Category/Function: Project Management & EngineeringRequisition ID: 221951Together, we'll make more possible, and these six shared values guide and define our work:Our people are at the heart of our successOur customers come first.
