About Hanson CollegeHanson College, established in 2001, is a private educational institution that delivers college diploma programs, post graduate diploma programs, and language training programs to international students. Our three campuses are located in Toronto, Brampton in Ontario, and New Westminster in BC. Join Hanson to change life trajectories through education for generational impact in the global community.We are hiring a Manager, Student Services for our Brampton Campus.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow direction and oversight for the strategic goals and objectives of a Student Services Department (SSD);
  • Direct staff with daily supervision; motivate the team towards the department goals;
  • Plan and organize student activities on and off campus; which includes conducting various counseling services and workshops;
  • Responsible for providing proactive, student-focused, and exceptional front-line service in a variety of formats to Hanson Canada’s diverse student population professionally;
  • Acting as the first point of contact in SSD, this position will support students by providing information in an accurate, friendly, empathetic, student-focused, and timely manner, including inquiries about student records, awards, and registration;
  • Providing general guidance on College policies, guidelines, and processes as well as student leadership and other opportunities;
  • Responsible for accurately interpreting and applying the appropriate regulations, procedures, and policies to the cases presented by students to offer them information concerning their situation and initiates the resolution of complex problems;
  • Works collaborates with academic and other departments, fostering a positive and productive environment for students, organizing proactive and responsive services to support the mental health and well-being of all students by scheduling councilors and guest speakers;
  • Provides input in creating departmental policies and procedures, facilitating departmental communication, and ensuring compliance, while providing daily guidance in decision-making in complex and crisis student situations;
  • Continuously contributes to Hanson Canada social media and SSD booklets to ensure relevant, up-to-date information;
  • Fulfilling other administrative duties assigned by the Director of Student Services, Ontario campuses.
Education and Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field with a record of professional accomplishment in student services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of exposure in educational management with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience sustaining partnerships and collaborations with events providers.
  • Experience with Schoology or similar Learning Management platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English.
  • Team player with a client-centric mindset and positive attitude.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Familiar with emerging educational technologies and the effective application of instructional technologies to enhance the student experience.
