Job Description

Catholic Family Services of Peel-Dufferin (CFSPD) is a non-profit, charitable organization reflecting the values consistent with Catholic social teachings. CFSPD is a dynamic, growing family service agency serving all areas of Peel and Dufferin. CFSPD is committed to providing a positive work environment for its employees and excellent services to its clients.CFSPD is the lead agency to the Safe Centre of Peel – a partnership of 16 social service organizations. Safe Centre of Peel is a safe and welcoming space where many agencies work collaboratively and integrate services to respond to victims and survivors of violence and abuse at a single location.Position SummaryCFSPD is currently seeking a Program Coordinator who will be responsible for the day-to-day support of the Safe Centre of Peel. The Program Coordinator will also be facilitating the onsite collaboration between the Safe Centre of Peel partners to effectively serve those affected by intimate partner violence. The Program Coordinator reports to a Clinical Program Manager. This position will be based in Brampton, Ontario.Responsibilities

  • Ensure the intimate partner violence hub model of co-located, coordinated services is functioning to its highest capacity and serving the best interests of our community.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new partners at the Safe Centre of Peel.
  • Coordinate schedules, waiting lists and process maps to ensure clients are referred to appropriate services and receiving timely service delivery.
  • Provide assessment, consultation, and analysis of the needs of clients to determine individual case plans and appropriate intervention/support. Proactively mitigate and assess risk and engage in risk management as needed.
  • Respond to stakeholder requests for client files, letters, documentation, etc. * Liaise with partner agency supervisors on the operations and needs of the centre.
  • Chair the Operational meetings for the Safe Centre of Peel, and attend Supervisory meetings
  • Oversee indirect services, administrative duties, and client statistical reporting systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, education or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ related experience; experience at a non-profit social services organization preferred.
  • Registration (or eligibility for registration) with a health regulated college (e.g. College of Registered Psychotherapists, OCSWSSW, etc.).
  • Thorough understanding of gender-based violence, and intimate partner violence, as well as applicable service and treatment modalities is required.
  • Works from an anti-oppression framework, and a strong systems perspective.
  • Knowledge and experience with crisis intervention techniques required.
  • Comfort navigating complex systems and structures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish, maintain and nurture teams, and productive working relationships with other community-based organizations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple priorities. * Ability to work with a forward-thinking mindset in a fast-paced, and ever-changing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in report writing.
  • Second language considered an asset.
  • Willing to work within a Catholic values framework.
