Records Management CoordinatorClerks DivisionContract Full-Time; 13 MonthsReporting to the Manager, Access to Information and Privacy the Records Management Coordinator will provide advice, guidance and assistance to all Regional departments with respect to electronic/physical records management obligations and best practicesIn this role you will:

  • Oversee and maintain the Regional Records Retention By-law
  • Provide advice and guidance to regional programs on records management obligations and best practices
  • Provide training to the Corporation on records management obligations and best practices
  • Assist with the implementation and conduct post-implementation reviews of electronic information management solutions
  • Coordinate and execute electronic records destructions
  • Re-assess project variables as necessary throughout assigned projects
  • Prepare status reports on all records management project activities
  • Provide back up support to the Inactive Records Centre
Qualifications:
  • A degree, diploma or certification in Records Information Management or Computer Engineering/Science, combined with previous records & information management experience or related discipline with 3 years’ experience as in records & information management or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Practitioner level certification in Electronic Records Management (ERM) through AIIM is preferred
  • Knowledge and application of Records and Information Management disciplines
  • Familiarity with records management software and document management software (e.g. Livelink by OpenText)
  • Excellent organizational, planning, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Detail oriented, including the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be technically oriented and a quick learner.
