The Canadian Mental Health Association/Peel Dufferin Branch (CMHA/Peel Dufferin) is pleased to announce that we are currently recruiting for the position of Summer Student - Intake Support AssistantThis is a Canada Summer Job 2021. This is a Temporary full time eight (8) week position of 35 hours per week. Approximate contract dates between: May 30, 2021 - September 3, 2021. This position works Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week. The incumbent will work in the catchment area of Brampton and report to the Department Manager.Requirements:Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employmentBe a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employmentHave a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulationsMust be able to work all 8 weeks consecutivelyCriminal Record Check requiredHourly rate: $15.25Summary of job responsibilities:Provide direct service support through the Street Helpline to homeless clients (individuals and families) and those experiencing homelessness.
