  • Manage inventory levels and product flow within their assigned regions in order to meet customer demand and achieve 99.50% or greater on-time delivery to Sleep Country Canada/Dormez-vous customers, while maintaining acceptable levels of inventory risk
  • Be a key liaison between Sleep Country Canada/Dormez-vous and its vendors and facilitate all manner of communication and coordination between the companies to maximize operational efficiency and ensure Sleep Country Canada/Dormez-vous Customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze regional unit movement on a daily, weekly, as needed basis to forecast future demand of various products
  • Assess current stock levels at the DCs and determine quantities and timing of Purchase Orders to meet needs of business
  • Maintain stocking programs as per prescribed guidelines for all product categories
  • Plan and forecast for upcoming promotions and events and their impact on product demand to alter stock levels as needed to maintain 100% on-time delivery to customers
  • Manage shipment flow into DCs on a daily basis to ensure on-time delivery of goods from suppliers
  • Follow up with vendors on late shipments, product back orders or damaged goods to resolve issues as quickly as possible and mitigate customer back orders and impacts
  • Troubleshoot problems as they occur to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
  • Manage vendors consistently to ensure vendor service levels are being met
  • Work with the rest of the PS team to tackle and resolve vendor and supply impacts
  • Communicate as required to ensure effective relationships with other departments and our vendor partners
  • Work on various projects and initiatives within the PS department
  • Coordinate and manage reverse product flow throughout the company to ensure proper execution of the RTV process
  • Vacation Coverage for day to day/tagged ordering
  • This position will be working out of the Brampton office working 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
QualificationsDo you have
  • Completion of a post-secondary program in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Operations (or equivalent)
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in the retail/wholesale business is an asset
  • Previous experience in supply chain forecasting and replenishment with either Oracle, Logility, SAP and JDA Manugistics is an asset
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Exceptional problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)
