Job Description

Catholic Family Services of Peel-Dufferin (CFSPD) is a non-profit, charitable organization reflecting the values consistent with Catholic social teachings. CFSPD is a dynamic, growing family service agency with offices in Mississauga, Brampton, Orangeville and Bolton. CFSPD is committed to providing a positive work environment for its employees and excellent services to its clients.Position SummaryCFSPD is currently seeking a Technology Support Services Worker who will provide a high level of administrative and database support to staff, as well as provide statistical reporting on a regular basis. The Technology Support Services worker will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements in order to facilitate an effective office environment. This position will be based in Brampton, Ontario.ResponsibilitiesTechnology Support

  • Provide 1st level IT support for all users in a friendly and professional manner via telephone, email and/or in person or remote.
  • Liaise with external vendors, providers, as necessary (Coyote, OnCall, IT support, etc).
  • Maintain incoming help desk tickets and requests and ensure a successful resolution or escalation if required.
  • Provide first level user support of various technologies used at CFSPD including, computers / laptops, printers, network devices, phones, cell phones, software…etc.
  • IT Asset Management, maintain master list of agency owned hardware, laptops, tablets, cell phones, other equipment.
  • Provide user training as appropriate on all systems.
  • Setup of new users including hardware, accounts, phones.
  • Assist with any projects as assigned.
  • Provide evening support as required.
Database Management and Administrative
  • Create new categories, user defined fields, groups, or programs within the database(s) as requested.
  • Create registrations and enrollments in database for agency programs as assigned.
  • Update client information in Caseworks or other agency databases as required.
  • Monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
  • Testing database updates and working with vendor around live update.
  • Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
  • Maintain an agency database-quality assurance calendar for required reports.
  • Prepare all statistical, service, and worker reports as required by the Funders and the agency.
  • Conduct quarterly inspections of computers and phones.
  • As required, provide additional administrative support to management.
  • Perform general administrative duties including, but not limited to, photocopying, scanning, faxing, mailing, ordering business cards, shredding, filing and couriering documents.
Other
  • Participate in agency fundraising activities as deemed appropriate and necessary by Executive team.
  • Attend required agency activities and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Degree or Diploma in related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Must possess 2 + years of office related experience.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to deal tactfully with employees, visitors and clients.
  • Working knowledge pertaining to modern office methods and procedures, equipment and filing systems.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Enthusiastic, warm and friendly personality, with a demonstrated client-service orientation.
  • Independent and self-directed with the capability to operate with minimal direct supervision.
  • Detail oriented with ability to check documents for accuracy.
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Office Suite and database applications.
  • A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records check.
