Nous rejoindre, c’est intégrer une communauté internationale de plus 36 300 personnes qui se consacrent à la résolution de problèmes de mobilité concrets et à la réalisation de projets internationaux ayant un impact local durable.Purpose of the jobThe APS test technician is responsible for electrically securing, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and certifying Auxiliary Power Supply modules of Alstom trains based on manufacturer diagnoses and in accordance with approved test procedures and company policies (including EHS, railway safety, local regulation and professional standards).ResponsibilitiesUnderstands and uses complex high voltage electronics diagrams;Supervises and manages the power isolation processes / tag out / capacitors residual discharge process;Performs the testing of a live APS, powered-up with a 1.5kVDC source, in a safe and controlled manner;Executes all work in conformance with Alstom Transport policies, standards, applicable regulations and professional standards (including EHS);Analyses HV signals with diverse & complex test instruments;Performs all specific testing activities according the approved testing procedures / documentation and project driven priorities;Adheres to testing schedules and testing plans as agreed with internal and external stakeholders (APS manufacturer particularly);Performs activities with quality, customer expectations and efficiency in mind such as clearly reporting on test results, record keeping of results, configuration control, etc;Traces with precision and rigour each failure;Uses the correct tools and equipment to perform the test activities. Ensures the equipment and tools in their care are calibrated and easily tracked;Uses and adheres to the use of PPE as defined by the project EHS plan, Alstom rules, and customer safety requirements;Alerts the hierarchical superiors by any risk identified during the testing activities ;Performs responsibilities with a lot of autonomy and minimal direction/supervision from the T&C Manager;Interacts with Engineering and Validation teams of both Alstom and manufacturer companies about test results and investigation of testing issues;Coordinates with supply chain team about shipping APS units to and from Brampton site;Writes complementary repair work instructions to replace some APS internal components;Performs manual work to repair the APS himself by replacing internal HV electronics, in a safe manner, under the manufacturer control and approval;Proposes improvement of the process.May participate as well to trains testing operations on top of APS HV testing. Missions such as :Carrying out test of trains in accordance with the testing procedure and as per the delivery schedule;Understanding in details the Acceptance Criteria of the customer for the Project / Product;Carrying out the systematic Hand Over from Manufacturing;Managing the repair of failures as soon as they appear;Ensuring Interface and perfect working relationship with test & engineering technicians, industrial quality…;Being aware of KPI’s performance and contribution on the respective KPI’s.Reporting any deviations, near-misses and accidents.ExperienceMinimum 4 years’ experience as an industrial electrical technician in an High-Voltage environmentEducational background as ElectricianKnowledge of Rail / Vehicle environment is preferableWorking knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standardsExperience with facing technical problems and evaluate/propose solutionsProficient with IT solutions including Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)Good understanding of Test Management and Configuration ControlCAN network and FPGA programming awarenessProficient with complex test equipment such as power analyser, Hipot tester, HV differential probes, megaohmeter, microohmeter, current measure probes, resistive loads, oscilloscope…QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering technology (electrical/computer/railway)High Voltage certification highly recommendProfessionally certified red seal® industrial electrician would be a plusBehavioural and Technical Skills / CompetenciesStrong ownership and accountability of activities assigned until completion and acceptanceProactive and able to promptly solve technical issuesStrong analytical skills to be able to anticipate all potential technical difficultiesRigorous to perform T&C activities in an organized manner and good qualityGood relationship and reporting skills to managementStrong attention to details, time management and organizationStrong initiative and professional demeanourSafety and team oriented with good communication skillsAbility to be self-motivated to learn from technical resources and documentationOrganisational ReportingReports to the Brampton Test & Commissioning managerLes engagements de notre entreprise se fondent sur une culture agile, inclusive et responsable qui offre à des personnes de tout horizon l’opportunité de se développer, d’apprendre et de progresser tout au long de leur carrière.
