Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.ResponsibilitiesTasksCalculate fixed assets and depreciationCalculate the cost of truck repairs and new parts if neededPlan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissionsAddress customers #39; complaints or concernsCoach colleagues on new methods or work techniquesMountain driving expertiseProfessionalism in customer serviceArrange travel, related itineraries and make reservationsDrive as part of a two-person team or convoyDrive lighter, special purpose trucksLoad and unload goodsObtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routesOperate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materialsOversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipmentPay and receive payments for goodsPerform brake adjustmentsPerform emergency roadside repairsPerform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehiclePerform preventive maintenanceReceive and relay information to central dispatchRecord cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumptionTarping and ensuring safety and security of cargoTransport and handle dangerous goodsAdditional informationPersonal suitability:JudgementOrganizedReliabilityTeam playerHardworkingPatience Job Criteria:Start Date: As soon as possiblePosition Type: Full-Time PermanentYears of Experience Required: 0Education Required: High SchoolOvernight Travel:Vacation Time:
