Job Description

Weighscale OperatorPublic Works – Waste ManagementCasual - Two (2) positionsReporting to Team Lead, Performance Measurement you will be responsible for the daily operations, including the start up and shut down of the weighscale and data processing equipment, processing all vehicles entering and exiting the facility, completing/verifying various documents and shipping authorization forms.Responsibilities:Daily operations of weighing in customers at the Peel Integrated Waste Management FacilityStart-up and shut down of data processing equipment - Inbound, Outbound and Remote ScalesCommunicate equipment problems/issues with internal and external clientsPrepare Material Shipping Authorization Forms (MSA's)Direct customers to the appropriate location for pick up or disposalReview and edit daily transactions if necessaryAdheref to pertinent regulations and policesCreate, maintain and distribute Geoware reports through proper opening and closing proceduresQualifications:Successful completion of a secondary school diploma combined with one (1) year related experienceStrong customer service focusInterpersonal skills to resolve and respond to internal and external clientsIntermediate knowledge of computer equipment requiredAbility to work well under pressureAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProven organization skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload effectivelyStrong communication skills (both verbal and written)Basic bookkeeping, mathematical and computer skillsLocation: PIWMF (Peel Integrated Waste Management Facility) - 7795 Torbram Road, Brampton ONPosition: CasualHours of Work: No guarantee of hours, shifts could be within the hours of 5:45AM - 2:00PM or 11:45AM - 8:00PMInterview: Our recruitment process will be completed with video conference technology.We are committed to supporting community recovery from COVID-19.
