Terraprobe Inc. is looking for a Welding Inspector to join our team in our BRAMPTON office. For this position, the candidate would be expected to work in the field to get familiar with aspects of geotechnical engineering. The candidate would be exposed to soil sampling protocols. With experience, the candidate would become exposed to field investigations consisting of borehole drilling and test pits.Responsibilities:Complete corporate formatted digital inspection reports,Conduct shop inspections and field inspections at various construction sites for buildings and heavy civil projects,Observe and follow all corporate health and safety requirements,Cooperate with all other disciplines on the project; working closely with the project team.Carry out additional duties as assigned.Travel and overtime as requiredRequirements:CWB Welding Inspector Level 2, or Level 1 with the intention to obtain Level 2W47/W59 code endorsements are desired.CGSB Level II (MPI, LPI and UT) will be an asset.Experience with structural steel inspectionOrganized and project-driven with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills.Strong verbal communication skills are essential.Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicleCompensation:Full-Time Permanent PositionHourly rate will depend on experienceVehicle mileage expenseAt Terraprobe Inc., we know that great experiences start with the right people.
