Job Description

Company Profile:Genesus Inc is the world’s largest independent producer of high health registered purebred swine in the world, owning over 80% of all registered purebred breeding stock in Canada.Our sole focus is Non-GMO swine genetic improvement built on factors that improve our customer profitability.Genesus head office located in Oakville, Manitoba is seeking a qualified individual to join our Oakville office team in the job position of Controller. Position Qualifications: The successful Candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • Canadian Citizen or permanent resident of Canada eligible for employment in Canada
  • 2-5 years as an accountant
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and Accounting Software
Controller Responsibilities:
  • The Controller is responsible for managing deposits, oversight of journal entries and vendor payments.
  • The Controller is also responsible for communicating with vendors and customers in a professional manner that is consistent with company principles.
Accounting responsibilities include:
  • Manage recurring and payment journal entries.
  • PSTamp; GST filings
  • Bank reporting and account management; Money transfersamp; bank transactions
  • Assisting with A/Pamp; A/R accounts
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve transactional issues
