Join us at Cascadia Metals, where resilience meets innovation, and we shape a dynamic future together.Cascadia Metals is actively seeking qualified candidates for the Crane and Forklift Operator/ Material Handler position to work out of our Brandon branch. This role is a permanent full-time position. Responsibilities:

  • Unload and organize metal coils weighing up to 50,000 lbs from rail cars and heavy trucks.
  • Handle material within the warehouse utilizing 25-tonne cranes with various attachments.
  • Loading trucks from small customer pick-ups to full B-train trailers
  • Organizing coil bays for safety and space optimization
  • Help move rail cars following safety protocols
  • Scanning material with an RF scanner
  • Reading paperwork to ensure the accuracy of incoming and outgoing loads
  • Other duties as required
Requirements:
  • Overhead crane experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Forklift experience would be an asset
  • Able to learn and use industrial strapping tools
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices
  • Flexibility: able to multi-task and work as part of a team
  • Ability to read orders and complete essential paperwork
