We recognize that MTI #39;s ability to provide the highest caliber of products and services is enhanced by a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities and countries in which we work.Position: Forklift OperatorLocation: North America | CAN | Brantford, ONWe are currently hiring for Forklift Operators at our facility in Brantford, ON.*The Forklift position is a continuum with the opportunity for advancement beginning at Level 1 and progressing through Level 4 as skills are gained.Primary Dutiesamp; Responsibilities- Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places.- Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.- Transport raw materials to production stations and take out finished goods from the production line to store them in a warehouse after applying packing, labelling and scanning them.- Complete all necessary paperwork to report work completion and report any error.- Performs any of the required tasks including lift truck driving, palletizing, packing, line supply, pallet wrapping, rework and cleaning as assigned.- Perform daily checks and report any issues with the forklift or charger.- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment.OE/Lean- Acts as resource and champion for department continuous improvement activitiesOther Dutiesamp; Responsibilities- As assigned to meet business demandsQualifications/RequirementsThe requirements listed in the sections that follow are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required to perform the duties of this job.
