This includes program registration, public enquiries, reception, office coordination, facility booking, permit and application tracking, committee and communication support, records management and other general administration duties.ABOUT YOUYou are the go-to person. You are the one in the office who has a natural ability to keep all the pieces of a complex environment moving and on-track (you know exactly where that file is!) and have an uncanny ability to keep your finger on the pulse of what’s happening around you. You’ve got excellent communication skills whether you’re writing a letter or answering the phone and when a client walks into the office or picks up that phone a top-notch customer experience is high on your list of priorities. Details delight you and hearing “there’s been a change in plans” doesn’t faze you in the least. If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you!Required Qualifications: · One- or two-year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute in business administration, office administration or other related field is required.· Three years of related experience.· Experience in a client-facing administrative role is preferred.· Municipal government experience is an asset, but not a requirement.Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Qualities: · Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively and independently in a diverse working environment· Customer service skills with ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically and professionally at all times· Computer skills including the Microsoft Office M365 suite of programs is required· Excellent communications skills both verbal and written· Minute taking and transcription skills· Efficient typing skills· Knowledge of Planning and Development processes is an asset· Knowledge of records management processes is a strong assetVisit www.bridgewater.ca to view the full job description for this position.
