Requisition ID: 114021Opportunity Type: PermanentEstimated Annual Salary: 250,000 - 300,000Type of Remuneration: APP- Alternative Payment PlanSite Visit & Reallocation Allowance Programs: Relocation Program; Site Visit ProgramDepartment of Health & Wellness Incentives:*About the Opportunity*South Shore Regional Hospital (SSRH), located in the town of Bridgewater, has an opportunity for full-time (1.0 FTE) Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join its psychiatry department. The psychiatrist will provide direct clinical psychiatric inpatient and outpatient care for children and adolescents. As well as emergency department services in conjunction with the crisis team.Responsibilities

  • provide care to outpatient clinic for patients under the age of 18
  • participate in program development, like the behaviour disorders and early psychosis intensive program
  • offer consultations to other physicians and rural clinics
  • contribute to and participate in teaching programs and activities
  • contribute to and participate in other administrative responsibilities as assigned
Expected Hours
  • full-time
  • on-call requirement
Qualifications
  • eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
  • eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
