Our program currently consists of four Hospitalist lines covering 15-18 patients of mixed acuity. This position is 7 days on, and 7 days off, with 8:00 am to 5:00 pm shifts, and call required 2 to 3 nights per week of work. Our site is close knit, provides ample support and a rewarding work experience.The setting for our program is the SSRH, which is a friendly and collegial workplace where everyone actually does know your name. The hospital houses a 24 hour level III Emergency Department and district trauma centre, 5 bed ICU, 3 operating suites, skilled nursing staff and Helipad for emergency airlift to Halifax. Inpatient Units includes Surgical, Medical, Obstetrics & Nursery, ICU, and Mental Health. Interested candidates must be fully licensed or be eligible for full or restricted licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.Responsibilities
