Job Description

Title: CustodianLunenburg County Multi-Purpose Centre CorporationReports to: Facility Operations and IT ManagerPOSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Facility Operations Manager, this position will require a highly motivated, well organized individual who is personable, reliable and enjoys working in a team environment. Daily tasks will include cleaning of building and providing excellence in customer service, while following LCLC safe work practice and procedures.GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Responsible for cleaning entire facility
  • Regular cleaning of facility as directed by Facility Operations Manager
  • Safe operation and use of equipment, material and tools
  • Follow up on all requests in a timely manner
  • Must be willing to work shift work
  • Help set up and tear down for special events
  • Must be physically able to perform manual labour
  • Maintain a superior standard of performance
  • Participate in training as required.
  • Shovel snow from exits and walkways
  • Be able to work with staff and public in a polite and effective manner
  • Unload trucks with supplies
Education / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year’s custodial experience
  • WHMIS Certification required
  • First Aid/CPR or willingness to obtain
  • Forklift certification would be considered an asset
Wages:
  • Will commensurate with education and experience.
