Company descriptionSafeguard Chimney Sweep & Stoves is a family run business proudly serving the South Shore and area for over 30 years, Offering sales & service for Wood, Gas, and Pellet Heating Units, as well as premium Grills & BBQ’s.Job descriptionWe are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, motivated, and well-established individual to join our team for the following permanent full-time position.TECHNICIAN ASSISTANT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Safeguard’s certified technicians and staff with the installation, maintenance and repair of space heating appliances and related parts & accessories plus chimney cleanings and regular maintenance.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools and carpentry skills will be considered an asset.
  • Capable of moderate to heavy lifting. Additionally, you should feel comfortable climbing ladders & scaffolding, and working on roof-tops.
EDUCATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent.
  • Class 5 drivers license in good standing
  • HOURS: Monday to Friday
