RoadSafetyBC regulates drivers and operates a number of programs to help regulate the safe and responsible operation of motor vehicles in B.C.The Road Safety Unit (RSU) is responsible for delivering the Enhanced Traffic Enforcement Program (ETEP), a multi-million dollar program delivering enhanced traffic services across BC, while engaging partners and developing innovative approaches to support and enhance traffic and road safety law enforcement in B.C. This includes coordinating issues, people, policies, and strategic initiatives for the Road Safety Unit, RoadSafetyBC and its road safety partners, particularly the BC Association of Chiefs of Police Traffic Safety Committee.Reporting to the Director, the position is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of the program and initiatives, and to effectively communicate ETEP and provincial road safety goals and objectives. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining relationships with law enforcement to ensure effective delivery of RoadSafetyBC programs and services, managing smaller scope projects, including records management and corporate reporting.   • Degree in communications, public relations, business administration, public administration, law, economics, health or social sciences or related field; OR four years of related employment experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining productive relationships, and effectively negotiating, consulting and resolving conflict with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience independently managing projects.
  • Experience in directing the work of contracted and staff resources.
