We are committed to the advancement of First Nations education, and ensuring a quality standard of living for our communities.SES strives to be an employer of choice for our talented teams, offering a comprehensive benefits package including pension plan – along with health, wellness and development programs to support you at work and at home.________________________________________________________________________________________________________________The Stzuminus Education Society is looking for On-Call Education Assistants .Job DutiesReporting to the Principal or Designate, you will:Assist in classrooms, resource rooms, and with individual students defined by the Ministry of Education as having a behavioral disability.Support the teacher with the supervision of students and deliver special programs to students and classes as outlined by the Individual Education Programs (IEP).Observe student behavior and may be required to respond to students to avoid potential disruptive outbreaks.Give individual assistance to students with behavioral difficulties and support those students in establishing and meeting goals.Meet with the school-based team regarding Individual Education Programs.Support classroom teachers with gathering resource materials and organizing charts and displays.Provide personal care to students, including dressing, undressing, toileting, cleaning, washing, and lifting into and out of wheelchairs and buses.Qualifications:Grade 12 Diploma.Education Assistant and Community Support Certificate an asset.One year experience.Crisis Prevention Intervention Certification and First Aid is an asset.To apply for a rewarding career with us, please submit your cover letter and resume to resumes@stzuminus.comQuick Apply
