This full-time tenure-track position is a member of the Librarians Department within TRU Libraries, supporting the Faculty of Law. The Law Librarian reports to the University Librarian and works collaboratively with other librarians and staff in the TRU Libraries, and Law Faculty members. The position is responsible for learning and research assistance and liaison services for the students and faculty of the Faculty of Law and other patrons of the law library. Responsibilities include selection and evaluation of print and electronic resources for the law library collection, and engaging students in the learning process by providing workshops, online guides and tutorials, and individual research consultations. The successful candidate may be cross-appointed with the Faculty of Law and be responsible for teaching courses in advanced legal research and writing to Law students.The successful candidate will join a committed team of library professionals and will be expected to be a full participant, along with the rest of the library team, in defining and achieving library goals. As a faculty member, the candidate will actively pursue professional and service activities. This position is at the Thompson Rivers University Kamloops Campus, situated on the traditional lands of the Tkemlúps te Secwépemc within Secwépemculucw, the traditional and unceded territory of the Secwépemc.Responsibilities:Liaison and Research Support
