Our work supports a sustainable economy in all parts of the province and provides a foundation for true and lasting reconciliation with Indigenous people.As the District Scaling Officer, you will be responsible for developing, administering and supervising the Interior District Scaling and Waste Program according to the Forest Act, Forest and Range Practices Act, Regulations, Scaling Manual, Waste Manual and provincial policy and guidelines. Key functions as the District Scaling Officer include administering and delivering the district program, maintaining and monitoring scaling standards, and approving “cancel and replace†billings if incorrect. The position will take direct enforcement action where violations occur, check scaling to monitor industry’s scaling and grading performance, and scale data control.
