We would love to discuss it with you in more detail!Diesel Truck - Shop Foreman Responsibilities:Maintains a high level of product and technical knowledge and practical experience through the study of technical manuals and bulletins, classroom training, communication with factory service representatives and actual hands-on experienceMaintains a skill summary of the technical staff and makes recommendations to service management regarding technical needsProvides technical and administrative training for Technicians both in a classroom setting and on-the-job as directed and/or approved by service managementWorks with lead hands to provide timely on-the-job assistance to Technicians having trouble diagnosing and/or repairing vehicles.Able to assist and working through diagnostics using the appropriate OEM diagnostic software.Reviews diagnostic results of any Technician performing new and/or unfamiliar diagnostic procedures, before major repairs are begunProvides diagnostic and test drive assistance on the service lane as needed by the service sales staffAssists the service sales staff in properly documenting Repair Order complaint, cause and correct information.Performs weekly tool box talks with techniciansMeets individually with group leaders once a week to review group performance, and counsels them regarding all administrative and management mattersMeets with the Service Manager once a week to report on shop productions, and discuss any pending administrative or management mattersKeeps shop equipment in safe operating condition; stays informed about new equipment available in the marketplace, and makes objective recommendations regarding the purchase of such equipmentDirects the maintenance of shopquot;cleanliness quot; in accordance with company housekeeping policies and management directivesCoordinates repairs as necessary on the shop equipmentReports to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare or integrity of the dealership, its personnel or customersUnderstands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that impact the company #39;s businessFacilitates and/or conducts training on proper techniques, policies, regulations, and best practices and recommends employees to appropriate training as neededPerforms various administrative tasks as directed by managementDistributes and organizes flow of work to the shop technicians and works closely with second shift supervisor to complete tasksFollows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherences to timekeeping standards including recording time of arrival, departure and all breaks for self and subordinatesCommunicates effectively with technicians as well as customers on a regular basisUpholds the company #39;s non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreementsAttends company meetings as requiredMaintains a professional appearance and a neat work area for self and subordinates in accordance with company policyDiesel Truck - Shop Foreman Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.
