Join us.Job DescriptionAs part of our continued growth, our Winnipeg, MB office has an opportunity for an Electricalamp; Instrumentation Designer for our Water Department E I amp;C group. The appropriately qualified candidate will have a successful track record in delivering conceptual, preliminary and detailed design phases and construction services of municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities. You will work in a team environment with intermediate and senior engineers to deliver advanced water and wastewater treatment facilities and large pumping station projects to our clients based in Western Canada and the US.- Mentor junior staff to develop skill sets that support AECOM and Water Department goals.- Provide design leadership for production and documentation development for electrical power and distribution systems, lighting and low tension systems (i.e. fire alarm, security, CCTV, etc.)- Design and supervise production of drawings and specifications for complete automation systems including field and panel control devices and SCADA for various processes including water/wastewater treatment and industrial applications- Strictly adhere to AECOM #39;s project and Quality standards, including capability of learning and adopting clients #39; standard and requirements upon request- Ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of technical aspect on project documentation produced in accordance with AECOM QA/QC procedures and the clients #39; standards- Ensure that project deliverables are produced in a timely manner to expected quality and allocated budget- Work with Construction Contract Administrator to review E I amp;C aspect of Shop Drawings, prepare and issue responses to contractor queries- Perform site inspections and issue inspection reports, issue Field Instructions and Field Orders, and prepare deficiency reports.- Provide technical support through all phases of a project.QualificationsMinimum Requirements :- 4+ years engineering CAD design experience in a multi-disciplinary electrical, instrumentationamp; control environment for commercial and/or industrial design- Proficient in use of AutoCAD and other design tools (such as AutoCAD 3D or Electrical, REVIT MEP Plant products)- Experience in design and production of tender documents such as single line diagrams, control and communication system diagrams, electrical hazardous areaamp; grounding drawings, electrical and instrument location drawings, loopamp; schematic wiring diagrams; developing equipment load schedules, cableamp; tray calculations, instrumentation indicesamp; standard details- Familiar with the Canadian Electrical Code, NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) and experience in 120/208VAC, 600VAC, low voltage and communication systems- Valid MB Class 5 Driver #39;s License- Experience with Microsoft office suite of programsPreferred Qualifications:- Certificate or Diploma in Electrical I amp;C Engineering and CAD Drafting, or equivalent, from a recognized/accredited institution- A.Sc.T. designation preferred- Advanced AutoCAD skills.
