The Assistant Food and Beverage Venues Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the VG restaurant Lounge at The Fairmont, In Room Dining and Refreshment Center and is responsible for the overall success of all areas including the performance of all colleagues. As part of INSPIRE (Leadership Development Program) you will have the opportunity to gain experience in Banquets in addition to all Venues.What you will be doing:- Lead, mentor and train the Foodamp; Beverage Outlet team- Create unforgettable experiences for our guests.- Ensure the implementation and compliance of minimum standards as outlined in the Fairmont Food and Beverage Core Standards- Promotes and ensures a clean and SAFE working environment, with continual emphasis on promoting employee health and safety, with active participation in the Healthamp; Safety committee- Oversees the training and development of colleagues ensuring that they are informed regarding responsible service of alcohol and adherence to hotel and Company policies- Maintains a floor presence during a shift, greeting and interacting with guests.- Works to increase knowledge of the industry trends.- Strategize on new service and product offeringsQualificationsYour experience and skills includes:- Manitoba Smart Choices Responsible Service Certification is a condition of employment- Service focused personality is essential and previous leadership experience required- Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders- Communicate thoughts, actions and opportunities clearly with strong networking skills- Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performanceAdditional InformationLocated in the heart of vibrant downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba -- at the historic corner of Portage and Main -- Fairmont Winnipeg luxury hotel extends the naturally warm reception of the Prairies.
