Reporting to the Manager, Diagnostic Imaging Services, and working under the supervision of the Charge Technologist, you will be responsible for (a) maintaining the safe operation of equipment; (b) upholding all policies and procedures of the department and the organization; (c) providing safe, quality care and services to our patients; and (d) participating in quality and safety initiatives. In carrying out your tasks as a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) in General Radiology, you must recognize safety as a priority for Diagnostic Imaging Services, as each of us plays an integral part in building a culture of safety and continuous improvement.REQUIREMENTSTo be considered for the role of General Radiology Technologist (MRT), you must be a clinically competent professional and an effective communicator with:

  • Graduation from an accredited training program in Radiological Technology.
  • Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO).
  • Knowledge of clinical CMRTO Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
  • Evidence of clinical competence through continuing education.
  • Effective team-building skills.
  • Desire to learn and collaborate within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate and interact effectively and positively with patients, physicians and co-workers.
  • Ability to maintain good attendance and availability.
Wage Range: $33.63 to $45.11 per hourAbout usAt Brockville General Hospital (BGH), we believe in achieving excellence together.
