Shannex is seeking a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) to join their team based in Brookfield, Nova Scotia. Reporting to the Site Manager , the Continuing Care Assistant will work to Full Scope of Practice. Clinical staff are part of a dynamic and skilled interdisciplinary team that is committed to providing compassionate, quality care while supporting and encouraging independence for residents. As a member of the Clinical team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and providing resident care. We are more than place to live or work - we are a community of people and friendships where the focus is on living well in the place residents call home.Who You Are…As the successful candidate, you have a valid Continuing Care Certification or Provincial Personal Care Workers course or equivalent. You have the ability to work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and have a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening. We consider any previous course in Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care to be an asset, and/or previous working experience with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment.
