To motivate, supervise and lead the electrical personnel including with all other departments and ensuring Health and Safety regulations is a top priority.Responsibilities:Safety: Guarantee compliance with OH&S and environment policies for electrical maintenance personnel. Establish safety culture and tackle specific actions to ensure health and safety prevention during maintenance activities. Contribute to plant housekeeping and cleanliness. To serve as a role model in the areas of safety, environmental stewardship, leadership, teamwork, customer focus, and continuous improvement to ensure alignment with the company’s vision and critical success factors.Maintenance Inspection & Planning: Determine and identify the necessary actions of corrective and preventive electrical, instrumentation and automation maintenance in coordination with Mechanical, Process and Production Departments. When possible, perform first level inspections and trouble shooting of electrical problems in order to better define scope of repair work. Ensure electrical maintenance team’s full time readiness to efficiently tackle emergencies or urgent breakdowns. Contribute to optimization by identifying critical parts of electrical equipment (based on risk assessment), proposing optimal stock levels of spare parts (through FMEA) and identifying remaining lifetime of critical electrical equipment. Define measures to extend lifetimes and set-up replacement planning in line with cost target.Maintenance Scheduling: Prepare daily, weekly, project based, and annual shutdown electrical maintenance plans (work orders) according to preventive, scheduled, or new maintenance actions. Coordinate and supervise execution of work order activities, failure data gathering (cause, symptom…), time confirmation (external and internal), and material withdrawal. Manage execution of maintenance activities by third parties. Cooperate with Mechanical, Production and Process departments in the execution of complex maintenance actions.Leadership: Provide professional and development/coaching to on a frequent basis and where required clarify roles and responsibilities for workers. Interact and promote efficient teamwork throughout different areas of the plant such as production, process/quality, and management, with support drawn from expertise.Personnel Development: Provide a work environment that promotes individual growth. Ensure the management of individual and team performance. Effectively coach all electrical personnel in general on areas of improvement and recognize strong suits. Be a facilitator for cohesive teamwork.Strategy & Execution: Ensure Lafarge strategies are integrated and in alignment with the country, regional and global category approach. Lead benchmarking with external companies to drive competitive advantage. Facilitate the development and growth of the company as well as grow to become an essential asset.Project Management: Manage all electrical aspects of capital projects directly or indirectly (using others). Use Lafarge Holcim’s CAPEX Management Handbook including the relevant processes and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.Relationship with Others:Report to Maintenance Manager.Supervisor/Coordinator to 3 Systems TechniciansWork with Mechanical staff; Production and Process/Quality departmentsDimensions:Manage annual budget spend of ~$500,000.00Supervise the work of 3 Systems Technicians and Electrical ContractorsProduction Volume: ~225KT CementSpecific Accountabilities:Provide a safe working environment for all employeesAdminister the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement in a fair, firm, and consistent manner.
