The client is a prestigious bovine genetics company in Eastern Alberta that specializes in advanced reproductive solutions.Reports toTakes broad direction from the Board of Directors (vision, policy, direction, strategic plan) and implementation (tactics).SummaryThe General Manager is responsible for directing and managing the organizations business activities and developing and implementing effective business strategies and programs. The duties of the General Manager will include allocating budget resources, formulating policies, coordinating business operations, maintaining, and improving culture, managing operational costs, ensuring good customer service, improving administration processes, engaging with vendors, identifying business opportunities, and monitoring financial activities.Core Competencies

Job Duties
  • Manage and supervise staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
· Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivated work environment, and creating innovative approaches for improvement.· Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas
  • Financial reporting, AR/Client credit, and payments, the fee structure of services and products.
  • Analyze accounting and financial data.
  • Generating reports and giving presentations to the Board of Directors
  • Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans
  • Liaison with Finance.
  • Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished on time
  • Evaluate performance and productivity.
  • Delegate responsibilities to the best employees to perform them while maintaining adherence to all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values
  • Determine staffing requirements and oversee the interview, hiring, and training of new employees with the assistance of the Human Resources department.
· Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of those involved· Oversee Marketing campaigns and service offerings.· Manage the maintenance of the facility.· Assess and procure equipment and IT needs.· Liaison with IT and Marketing
  • Enhance the organizations reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner.
