Job Description

The Plains Motel (Brooks, AB) is currently looking for a Full-Time or Part-Time room attendant to join our dynamic housekeeping team. The duties and responsibilities for a Room Attendant include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Thoroughly clean guestrooms including: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, sanitizing, and removing marks from walls and furnishings in the room.
  • Handle and report lost and found items.
  • Set room temperature control.
  • Restock and replace used items within guestrooms.
  • Reports any “Do Not Disturb” rooms in a timely manner.
  • Check all equipment prior to and after use to ensure that it is in good working order.
  • Reports room items requiring maintenance.
  • Stock supply cart and ensure that it is neat and well organized at all times.
  • Responsible for maintaining overall motel cleanliness.
  • Pick up debris, empty trash containers, wash windows, walls and ceilings.
  • Assist with sorting, washing and folding linens and towels
  • Ability and willingness to bend, stretch, reach, and push up to 20 lbs.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Flexible to work weekends and statutory holidays.
  • Assisting to clean any areas of the hotel as assigned by the manager when needed to include but not limited to business centre, guest laundry, recreation area, change rooms, hallways, stairwells and common areas.
