Your Opportunity:This is an exciting opportunity to positively impact health care provided in the communities of Brooks and Bassano. Brooks Health Care Centre is a busy rural hospital that provides health care services to the population of Brooks and surrounding areas. Services offered at the Brooks Health Care Centre include acute inpatient services, obstetrical care, surgical services, emergency department, and long-term care services. Bassano Health Centre offers long-term care, acute inpatient services and emergency department services and supports the town of Bassano and surrounding area.Description:The Site Manager, in conjunction with the South East Acute Rural Director, is responsible to lead the clinical operations of both the Brooks Health Centre and the Bassano Health Centre, including informing the site operational plan and priorities. The Site Manager will ensure the effective deployment of human resources, and create a safe, healthy and inclusive workplace where employees and physicians can reach their full potential. The Site Manager ensures the appropriate allocation of fiscal and capital resources across the area of accountability, and manages and reports on the operating budget. They will foster a culture of continuous quality improvement to ensure the ongoing evolution of high-quality healthcare. Using effective change management practices, the Site Manager manages initiatives to improve the overall clinical operations, and acts as the primary point of management for issues that relate specifically to the site (e.g. capital improvement, patient flow). The Site Manager must maintain strong working relationships with key leaders and stakeholders to provide operational and interdepartmental leadership that integrates the site as a whole, as well as managing relationships with both internal and external operational partners (e.g. civic representatives, Emergency Services, post-secondary institutions/programs, etc.). As this position oversees the day-to-day operations of both facilities, the Site Manager must appropriately allocate their time to ensure they are physically on-site over the course of the week at each site.
