Please view our City of Brooks Careers Corner page for more details.The City of Brooks requires one (1) Temporary Handibus Driver in the Administration Services Department, operating out of the Brooks Fire Hall.Job Details & Responsibilities:As our Temporary Handibus Driver, you will be responsible for providing safe and timely transportation for all patrons of the City of Brooks Handibus and ensuring exceptional customer service is provided to patrons and members of the publicRequirements:

  • Completed the twelfth (12th) school grade, or equivalent;
  • Must hold a valid Class 2 or 4 Driver’s License with a clean commercial vehicle driver’s abstract;
  • Standard First Aid and CPR Certification;
  • Excellent public relations and interpersonal skills;
  • Basic cash accounting skills; and basic computer skills with familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • The 2022 starting wage for this position is $23.78 per hour. Regular working hours may vary between Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm; the occasional evening and weekend shift may be required when needed.
  • The successful applicant will receive a free membership to the JBS Canada Centre during the term of employment.
A clean criminal records check, child welfare check and commercial vehicle driver’s abstract will be required before an offer of employment is presented to the successful candidate.
