  • This position will provide comprehensive, confidential administrative support to the Human
Resources Lead and the Client Services (HR Business Partner) team within Human Resources.
  • Key administrative accountabilities include: maintaining, coordinating and integrating calendar
schedules; booking and managing meetings and conference calls logistics; managingcorrespondence to ensure all items are prioritized and dealt with in a timely manner; maintainingfiles and providing back up materials prior to all meetings including the retrieval of materials andpreparation of agendas; and prioritizing,managing, and communicating deadlines/action items
  • This position is also responsible for coordinating the flow of information between the Manager,
direct reports and extended team; following up on outstanding action items; preparing/draftingreports, letters, meeting agendas, and presentation material for distribution; event planning, andlogistical support as required; and may be required to monitor and/or develop budgets andmonthly variance analysis
  • For this role, knowledge of SAP is required to support the manager and team with time and
labour entries and expense reports
  • This position is also accountable for maintaining the team sharepoint site, including site layout
and compliance. Web Authoring skills may also be required for maintenance and updating of teamhydroweb pages
  • This position also coordinates office space requirements and manages the inventory of office
equipment for the team as well as works with other administrative assistants to provide assistanceand support when required.Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education plus three to five years administrative experience at a senior level
performing a range of diverse, administrative support duties
  • Initiative and a solution-oriented approach to day to day challenges
  • Ability to maintain professional working relationships with the team, all levels of staff within BC
Hydro, and external organizations, as well as the ability to act independently with a high level ofjudgment, discretion, and diplomacy particularly in dealing with confidential or sensitive matters
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and
adapt easily to shifting and/or conflicting deadlines
  • Superior oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to make decisions within
prescribed guidelines. Highly proficient with current business software including: Microsoft Officeapplications (Word/ Excel/ Outlook/PowerPoint); SharePoint; SAP HCM and Financialapplications; and Web Authoring tools
  • An undergraduate degree, diploma or certificate in Human Resources, or equivalent HR
