You can too.District OverviewKiewit Infrastructure Marketsamp; Strategies Alternative Delivery team is driving clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of their projects. Through our integrated design and construction approach, our multi-disciplinary team works together to improve schedule, control costs and minimize risk. Our construction-focused engineers work collaboratively with our estimators and builders to design solutions that are innovative, constructible, and designed with a focus on safety. With top-notch health benefits, a wealth-building RRSP/401k plan, and unbeatable growth opportunities, by joining Kiewit, you #39;re ensuring a lifetime of success.LocationThis position is based out of the Lower Mainland Area with some travel to be expected.Responsibilities- Identify, develop, and maintain an opportunity pipeline of suitable projects in Western Canada that fit Kiewit #39;s business plans in the area- Effectively develop strategic plans and relationships with our regional clients and partners to ensure we are communicating with a common voice and message.- Provide our clients with greater clarity when it comes to understanding and navigating our organization.- Clearly understand the client #39;s decision-making process and who the client #39;s decision-makers are.- Identify, track, report and document all opportunities that fit within the Infrastructure group Business Plan.- Fully and actively facilitate BD activities, work with the regional Business Line Manager (BLM), Regional Proposal Strategy Manager (KIPS) and BD Team to ensure data integrity in CRM in assigned BD area and within the regional network and BLM market focus.- Work closely and collaboratively with Kiewit Construction Operating Districts.- Understand the client #39;s organization, and our company #39;s relevant personnel within BD process.- Help shape the procurement process and extract, document and report on important information that provides us with an advantage in helping solve the client #39;s challenges and securing work.- Lead and/or support the team with executive level presentations/meetings to demonstrate our solutions-based capabilities to the client decision-makers.- Understand client #39;s internal business plan, capital expenditures, and growth forecasts of the client #39;s business units by market.- Acquire important competitive information for improved capture plans.- Understand client #39;s internal decision-making process, organizational charts, procurement, contracting models and risk profiles.- Lead Go-No Go process and recommendation reporting.- Create and report progress of the account plan, keeping CRM current and accurate.- Maintain collaboration with appropriate management and operational leads to discuss solutions and opportunities on client #39;s projects that we are interested in pursuing- Develop opportunity White Papers and Capture Plans- Actively participate in industry events as a participant or a speaker to promote the Kiewit brand and the projects we buildQualifications- Bachelor #39;s degree in engineering, construction management or business (preferred)- 7+ years of experience working in the engineering and construction sector with a focus on large Canadian infrastructure- Proven experience in business development roles within the engineering and construction sector- Advanced knowledge of alternative contracting models including Design-Build, P3, CMGC/CMAR, Alliance, IPD, Progressive Design-Build, etc.- Prior experience working on large infrastructure projects is a plus- Strong knowledge of the Western Canada infrastructure market- Procurement and contract administration experience is preferred- Excellent communication skills, strong leadership skills and ability to positively motivate business development and marketing staff and clients- Strong public speaking and presentation skills required- Must be able to travel from time to time with overnight staysOther Requirements:- Regular, reliable attendance- Work productively and meet deadlines timely- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment- Perform work safely and effectively.
