Job Description

Job DescriptionThe Industrial Maintenance Milwright will inspect and adjust the mechanical alignment of pumps, replace or rebuild pumps, replace fan bearings, replace motors, repair screw conveyors, rebuild or change gearboxes, install and modify pipelines, and assist in the modification and addition of plant projects.Main Responsibilities:

  1. Repair, maintain, install, replace, troubleshoot and diagnose various machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, conveyors, belts and fans utilizing hand tools and testing instruments.
  2. Inspect completed repairs and recommend appropriate solution.
  3. Perform all work with strict adherence to all applicable safety legislation and procedures.
  4. Estimates time and material costs on electrical and mechanical projects.
  5. Requisition supplies and materials as required and approved by management.
  6. Work from engineering drawings rough sketches, manuals or verbal instruction and install equipment to diagram specifications.
  7. Complete work orders as required and ensures appropriate follow-up communication.
  8. Disassemble machines and repair/replace/adjust parts accordingly.
  9. Clean and lubricate equipment, parts and machinery.
  10. Maintain equipment in proper operating condition.
  11. Utilizes the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to efficiently manage and track work orders. Ensures timely follow-up on assigned tasks and provides comprehensive reports upon completion of each work order.
  12. Assist co-workers with any questions or issues regarding task completion.
  13. Takes rotating, on-call, back shifts, and holidays.
  14. Other tasks as assigned by management.
