Job Description

Infrastructure Project Manager - Contract position in Vancouver (Hybrid)On behalf of our client in Vancouver, Ignite Technical Resources is looking for an Infrastructure Project Manager with our client for a contract opportunity.Role Description:The ideal candidate will be able to manage infrastructure as well business focused projects. We are looking for a "hands-on" PM who has proven experience managing project budgets and working directly with vendors.Responsibilities:

  • Work with business areas through the organization, including Information Technology, to lead the planning and implementation of projects.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, deliverables and tasks.
  • Define resource requirements, coordinate availability with business areas and IT to manage project resource allocation.
  • Develop, monitor and control project timelines.
  • Manage project budgets.
  • Work closely with external vendors.
  • Monitor and report on progress of the project to stakeholders.
  • Implement and manage project changes, issues and risks.
  • Complete project evaluations and assessment of results.
  • Define and develop business requirements when required.
  • Complete test strategy and plan documentation and issue tracking when required.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years project management experience.
  • PMP is an asset.
  • Must have experience in managing small to medium size infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of Project management methodology, ITSM and change management processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple small projects at the same time.
  • Proficient in using PM tools such MS Project, Eclipse etc.
  • Proven experienced working with C-level executives.
