CORCYM employs approximately 850 people in over 100 countries, ensuring a strong presence to continuously support Patients, Healthcare Professionals, and healthcare systems worldwide.Jr. Process EngineerThe Jr. Process Engineer is focused on providing engineering support to Vancouver Operations by: initiating planning, and executing new and modifications to process design; improve manufacturing methods, optimize product performance and reduce manufacturing costs to meet operational goals; working with Quality Engineering to support NCR and CAPA investigation and identify and implement solutions to address the root causes of CAPA/NCR; provide technical information, analysis and support on the manufacturing floor to ensure overall objectives and product quality targets are met; assist the production managers in the development and tracking of Key Performance Indicators (KPI #39;s) for the Vancouver Operations.The Jr. Process Engineer works closely with staff in Production, Production Supervisors, Value Stream Leaders, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, R amp;D, and Logistics to ensure that plans are met and that the finished products meet all regulatory, customer and company requirements.Essential Functions:The incumbent applies fundamental engineering principles to create practical solutions to production challenges and provide technical support across all functions. This position:- Works directly in manufacturing areas to help troubleshoot and solve production issues, and develops, assesses, and analyzes process improvements- Assists in the smooth transfer of manufacturing processes from R amp;D into production, including preparation of drawings, development process specifications and SOPs, training of staff, and execution of process/equipment validation (IQ, OQ, PQ) and software validation activities- Lead and participate in manufacturing process cycle development, verification, and validation- Assist in the development and optimization of Process Design, Manufacturing Layout and Product Flow- Define and generate required documentation in support of manufacturing protocols, reports, manufacturing instruction and procedures (including information required to generate MES/eDHR workflows)- Work with project teams and VSGs to ensure manufacturing processes meet cost and yield targets- Lead process and equipment validation activities- Lead/facilitate continuous improvement activities and manage projects. Responsible to hold team members accountable for assigned actions and timelines- Hold themselves accountable for the performance of the team that they are leading- Coordinate and communicate weekly and monthly KPI reports, as applicable- Lead the development and implementation of KPI #39;s and benchmarks performance against related industries, as applicable- Assist the Value Steam Leaders in developing visual management and/or reports as applicable to better track Value Stream performance- Work with other employees at all levels and within all departments to resolve daily problems- Working hands on, to perform small part machining and assembly of equipment as needed- Ensure compliance to applicable federal, provincial and local regulatory requirements as well as Corcym Quality Manual/Policy requirements within the area of responsibility- Perform other duties as assigned- Share knowledge and information to enhance skills and convey the importance of good work habits- Facilitate project team meetings and encourage active participation by all- Participate in the development and execution of a yearly operational plan for the assigned Value Stream Group- Promote teamwork and collaboration- Actively and productively participate and/or lead group discussions and projects- Train staff in the assigned process area- Act as an effective, committed and reliable team member of the Engineering and Project Management team- Act as a liaison between the Engineering and Project Management department and the VSG team members bringing concerns and issues forward where appropriateKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:- Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills- Demonstrable Project Management skills- Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills- Proficient at reading, creating and editing engineering drawings- Good organizational and leadership skills- Knowledge of process control ideally by PLC and LabView- ProE or similar 3D modeling software experience- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma concepts and root cause analysis tools- Knowledge of applicable regulations for BC and Canada- Broad based knowledge of manufacturing and technical equipment operations and functions- Ability and skill with word processing software, spreadsheets, graphics, and various reporting data collections systems- Highly organized and able to undertake and prioritize a multitude of tasks- Ability to use ERP and MES systems and reporting tools as requiredThis position also requires regular visits to the clean room environments which may require the use of PPEEducation and Experience:- Background experience in successful project completion, product introduction and transfer of prototypes design into production- Bachelor #39;s Degree in Engineering discipline (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Operations Research, Biomedical Engineering etc.) or equivalent work experience
