Job Description

Job DescriptionUnder the supervision of the Department Manager, the working coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the inspections to ensure their proper implementation and customer satisfaction. As a working coordinator, the incumbent will also be required to perform all duties and responsibilities of Marine Inspector.

  • The coordinator carries out various tasks related to the coordination of daily and weekly tasks, reviews and prepares documents related to requests received, plans inspections, assignments, reviews reports and other related tasks such as writing emails, having telephone conversations and shipping packages.
  • Collect additional information from clients that is required to carry out the work, when necessary
  • Confirm reception and comprehension of requests for inspection with the client.
  • Prepare internal documents (paper and electronic format) required to carry out the inspection.
  • Plan and schedule inspection work with the inspectors to meet deadlines.
  • Marine manager with approve all final schedules.
  • Ensure necessary equipment is working properly and calibrated.
  • Perform related tasks: training, data entry.
  • Physically sample, measure, and take the temperature of vessel #39;s tanks and shore tanks using a variety of methods dictated by company and ASTM /. API procedures.
  • Calculate and certify quantities transferred and perform full reconciliation of those quantities.
  • Accurately complete all required reports and forms.
  • Work constructively with client #39;s representatives, vessel personnel, and shore facility personnel to insure accurate results.
  • Maintain regular communication with office staff regarding job status, problems, concerns, etc.
  • May be assigned and coordinate special or ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Stay current with and adhere to the latest industry and client procedures and standards as provided by field supervisors and/or office staff.
This includes and is not limited to; marine surveys, vessel cargo inspections, as well as petroleum inspections on petroleum vessels/petroleum cargoes, quantity determination inspections of ships, barges and pipeline transfers of petroleum, petrochemical and chemical products.
