Overview:Food-X Urban Delivery Inc. (“Food-X”) is a grocery delivery platform for third party grocers. If the idea of helping to reduce carbon emissions, food waste, and single use plastics resonates with you, please apply to join our team now!Food-X is looking for a full-time, permanent Team Support and Recruitment Specialist based out of our South Burnaby, BC head office (#105 5566 Trapp Avenue). This overnight position involves working Wednesday - Saturday 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM (4X10).Duties & Responsibilities:The Team Support & Recruitment Specialist is a front-line champion for the Team. Existing at the intersection of HR and Operations, they ensure that we build and maintain a team of passionate and purposeful individuals, with shared values. They promote a safe working environment and truly care about the well-being and success of every person. They make the lives of our team members better by providing a welcoming and effective onboarding experience, a point of support and guidance for general concerns, and a safe, highly efficient and engaging work environment.Qualifications & Requirements:Post and monitor open positions.Conduct pre-screens and interviews for viable candidates for open roles.Prepare and present offers for prospective team members.Manage and maintain a headcount roster and team schedule.Enter and approve timesheets for hourly team members.Ensure all team member paperwork is completed and submitted to Payroll, including new hire paperwork, PANs, RTOs, and other key forms.Promote & maintain a healthy and safe workplace, investigating any possible hazards and documenting health and safety concerns as appropriate.Conduct onboarding sessions, safety training & on-site orientations for new team members.Manage and distribute Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Issue security access FOBs and set-up biometrics for Payroll.Monitor the COVID screening station and ensure that all the safety protocols are being followed.Some analytics & reporting on labour, attendance and other personnel KPIs.Act as a safe and trusted point of contact for all team members (questions, complaints, concerns, etc.), while working with other members of the Human Resources department to confidentially investigate.Issue benefit cards and provide information on the Company benefit program.Develop, lead, and implement team engagement initiatives.Act as a central point of contact for Company and department communication, announcements and updates.Help develop new procedures and improvements to current practices.Seek out new responsibilities and look for areas to further assist outside of general responsibilities.Other duties as assigned.Compensation:An uncanny ability to get everyone at the party in on the game and having fun, even those that “don’t play charades”.Post-secondary education in Human Resources is preferred, however a combination of experience and education will be considered.Minimum of two years previous recruitment experience.Basic understanding of Employment Standards Legislation required.Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills.High degree of professionalism and confidentiality.Ability to understand the internal requirements of various departments and functions.A passion for creating, developing, and participating in an amazing culture.Comfortable with Microsoft Office and the Google Suite.Strong English language written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to cultivate a team environment.A desire for constant change and an eagerness to absorb new responsibility.
