Job Description

Job DescriptionJoin Canam #39;s dynamic team as we seek a talented Accounting Technician to become an integral part of our steel joist and deck manufacturing facility in Calgary.The chosen candidate will undertake a variety of responsibilities including:

  • Generating invoices for payment, ensuring accurate coding and calculations.
  • Conducting audits, reconciliations, and processing of daily production data.
  • Providing production reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, and executing month-end procedures.
  • Handling daily payroll processing for unionized hourly workers.
  • Matching purchase orders with invoices and verifying billing accuracy against source documents.
  • Ensuring proper authorization backup for all processed invoices.
  • Communicating with suppliers to exchange information and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies in supplier payments.
  • Supporting the accounting and administration team with various tasks as needed.
  • Cross-training across all accounting and administration functions, and providing backup support for accounting, administration, and reception roles.
