We know it starts with people like you, so take a chance and start with us.Department: Talent Knowledgeamp; Process GovernanceJob Number: REQ7445Location: Edmonton or Calgary (This is a hybrid role that will require some travel to our Edmonton or Calgary offices)Apply by: April 21, 2024Paygrade: J - OTH# Positions available: 1System Job Title: Business Analyst 6Leader Name: Director, HR Knowledge and Process ManagementWork Arrangement: Hybrid: You’ll work both remote and onsite, where time onsite is based on your job accountabilities and performance objectives.Please note that this is a temporary position for 6 Months.As ATB’s next Business Analyst with a Process Management specialization, you will support the management of People and Culture (P amp;C) or HR business processes through: researching and analyzing improvement opportunities, conducting analysis, preparing recommendations and facilitating efficiency enhancements.Responsibilities

  • Creates business concepts based on needs of business units and ATB
  • Maps current state processes in ARIS ensuring they meet process documentation standards, and correctly reflect system, people, inputs and outputs
  • Gather business requirements and data for new process design and existing process redesign
Serves and advises clients by turning requirements into feasible solutions
  • Review and validate current state maps with stakeholders and subject matter experts for accuracy and to identify risks, controls, gaps, as well as process roles, goals, KPIs and KRIs
  • Conduct the essential analysis to design a process for purpose and fit; and document a process to meet the differing needs of the varied stakeholders of the process
  • Develop other process documentation (such as knowledge maps, journey maps, value stream maps) to support analysis of process flow, and identify blockages of flow (overburden, unevenness, waste)
  • Organize process documents within P amp;C process repositories, and maintain required details of identified processes in process inventory
Supports creation of initiative vision and goals to improve processes
  • Improve consistency and quality of process fulfillment through the production and maintenance of procedural documents for front-stage (team membersamp; leaders) and backstage (operational) groups
  • Improve information quality, supply, auditing and governance capability (knowledge flow related to processes between people, systems and bots) through the production of standardized technical documentation for behind the scenes (system and data) teams
  • Map future state processes in ARIS which meet documentation standards and improvement plans
May support projects in maintaining project schedule, budget, work plan, KPIs, and other metrics May engage in support of product launch and transition period after deployment Ensures timely delivery of reports/analysis and proactively communicates any barriers RequirementsBusiness Fundamentals

Process Management
  • 1-2 years previous working experience with process maps or platforms to execute on documenting process efficiencies
  • Knowledge of or experience with journey mapping, service delivery blueprints, and knowledge mapping is considered an asset
  • ARIS knowledge is considered an asset
Accreditation
  • Knowledge of Human Resources practices and systems is considered an asset
  • Bachelors in business administration, finance, management or related field
  • At least one core Business Analysis Certification from the IIBA (AAC, ECBA, CCBA, CBAP)
