Job descriptionIn collaboration with the Human Resources team, the Human Resources Advisor offers support to managers and employees in multiple human resources management activities. A background in recruitment is preferred. We are looking for someone who is passionate about all aspects of HR!Responsibilities· Implement and administer employee policies;· Provide high quality advice and services to management on day-to-day employee relations and performance management issues;· Support the human resources department in the implementation of programs to enhance the employee experience;· Manage workplace accident files and conduct investigations;· Play an advisor role to managers in all areas of human resources;· Coordinate recruitment and staffing mandates: Search for active and passive candidates via social media, post positions and interview candidates;· Maintain ongoing relationships with employment agencies to ensure the selection of the most qualified candidates;· Identify ways to improve policies and procedures;· Prepare termination and disciplinary letters;· Train and provide support to members of the Human Resources team;· Perform administrative tasks, including planning, file maintenance and mail sorting for the Human Resources department;· Support and assist with driver pay, manage complaints, errors in pay· Manage vacation pay for drivers· Manage / submit office payroll as well as keep track of sick days, days in lieu, vacation days.· Participate in/organize corporate events and trade shows to promote the company and its benefits; quot;· Monitor and update employees #39; leaves;· Coordinate logistics for new hire orientations and employee training sessions;· Compile statistics and participate in trend analysis to make recommendations for continuous improvement;· Participate in/organize corporate events and trade shows to promote the company and its benefits;· Participate in meetings between Human Resources and Operations with the mandate to create an environment that makes us an employer of choice;· Follow-up with termination reports to analyze the reasons for the drivers #39; departure and make recommendations.Health and Safety: Responsible for the general health and safety program.· Organize and conduct health and safety committee meetings;· Ensure that inspections and incident reviews focus on claims prevention, particularly in areas where we have had injuries or incidents of concern;·Raise areas of concern.Skills and Abilities:· BAC in Human Resources or Industrial Relations completed.-Minimum 2-3 years recruitment for a wide variety of roles. -Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.· Expertise in HR policies and procedures.· Strong knowledge of hiring processes.· Understanding of human resources best practices and current regulations.· Good judgment and problem-solving skills.· Client-focused attitude with a high level of professionalism and discretion.· Familiarity with the MS Office suite.· Excellent communication skills.· Objectivity.· Teamwork skills.· Organization and time management.· Initiative.· Ability to handle confidential information.XTL OFFERS:· Group insurance paid 100% by the employer after 3 months of probation· Access to our RRSP match program after 3 months of service· Competitive salary· Schedule that allows work-life balance. #AbjobPowered by JazzHR
